Cupcake Tip Tuesday


If you are baking cupcakes for your sweetie this Valentine's Day, here are a few quick tips from the Cupcake Girls.

Be careful not to fill your cupcake liners too full. Fill the liner only 1/2 to 3/4 full to prevent the cupcake top from separating from the cupcake bottom.

The Colorado altitude is tricky so if the liner is filled too full, your cupcakes may invert. If your cupcakes tend to sink, try using a little less sugar and substitute some of the oil with apple sauce. Lighten up your cupcakes!

Say Cream Cheese
Rotate your cupcakes in the oven midway through baking time.

The best way to tell if your cupcakes are ready is the old fashioned way. Grab a toothpick or cake tester, if it comes out clean you are good to go. They should also feel nice and springy on top too!

 For your topping, do not use a store bought jar or can of frosting. Put some love into your baking for your honey! Fake cupcake bakers do exist, do not be one of them! Take the time and be thoughtful about your ingredients.

Now it is time to enjoy! Pour yourself a generous glass of wine or a tall glass of cold milk, sit back with your love and eat your sexy cake whether it is in one big embarrassing bite or several small savory bites.
